Cornhill Training Consultants Ltd was set up in 1996 by John Richardson. John began working in the agricultural sector before reading for an economics degree. He then took a year out to do an MBA at Cranfield University and this prompted a change of direction. He moved into consulting and then investment banking, ending up running a division of a UK investment bank. When he left to set up Cornhill Training Consultants he had already been involved in the training world with several clients and also with City University Business School, now called Cass Business School in London. It was a natural progession to blend the consulting and training into the company in 1996.

John is now a Visting Fellow and Programme Director at Cass Business School, London and part of the visiting faculty at Duke Corporate Education. He splits his time between consulting and training, often blending the two elements into client assignments. He specialises in corporate and structured finance and has a wide experience of these disciplines gained in countries throughout the world.

The company now operates with a variety of partners in the corporate finance area and in both Europe, Middle East and Asia, including China.
